The citrosodine Is an antacid that is used to treat the symptoms of hyperacidity (pain and heartburn). Heartburn occurs for a variety of reasons, for example, it occurs after a large meal or one based on poorly digested foods, and the causes can be traced to an unhealthy diet or a diet based on foods that are poorly tolerated.

Baking soda can neutralize the ph of an overly acidic substance and is therefore a “grandmother’s remedy” to aid digestion.

Before taking this medicine, it is a good idea to consult your doctor or pharmacist because there are many circumstances under which it cannot be taken:

  • In case of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the product
  • is not recommended in hypertensive patients because increased sodium absorption, resulting in increased plasma volume and thus worsening the disease condition, may occur as a result of prolonged intake of this medication
  • in pregnancy and breastfeeding (or in any case, it is always advisable to seek consultation with the doctor)

In any case, do not exceed the recommended daily dose and use only for short periods of treatment. Also, keep out of the reach of children under 3 years of age; not suitable for children under 12 years of age.

The recommended dose is 1 or 2 tablets after main meals or in the presence of pain or stomach upset; it should be chewed or allowed to dissolve in the mouth.
